CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER [MARVEL PREMIER COLLECTION] by Ed Brubaker

Two years after the events of "The Avengers," Steve Rogers (Captain America) is trying to adjust to life in Washington, D.C., while working as an agent for S.H.I.E.L.D. He grapples with the complexities of modern society and the moral ambiguities of his new role. During a mission with Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow) to rescue hostages from a hijacked S.H.I.E.L.D. ship, Steve discovers that S.H.I.E.L.D. is not as transparent as it seems, leading to deeper questions about the agency's integrity.
