We opened The Perk in March of 2021 with a simple hope: to bring something special to Maryville, especially downtown. As a family of eight—a married couple and our six daughters—we love games, sports, and coffee. The Perk gave us a way to share those favorites and create a place where others could find a little of what they love, too.

Today, we’re backed by a strong team of knowledgeable collectors and baristas, including local college students. Whether you’re hunting for a card, choosing your next read, or ordering your usual coffee, our team brings their own enthusiasm and experience to the counter.

We joke that we’re “Card Shop Mutual”—the money goes right back into the store. There’s always another way to grow the collection, improve the space, and make The Perk a little better for everyone who walks through the door or shops with us online.

To our local and online community: thank you. Every visit, order, game night, recommendation, and conversation helps keep this family dream growing. We’re grateful you’ve made The Perk part of your story.
